OUNDED IN NEW YORK CITY in 1994, Zeuxis began as an association of painters exploring the possibilities of still life—traditionally the least prestigious of genres—in the post-Modernist art world. To date, Zeuxis has organized over forty exhibitions around the country. These shows have included such notable guest artists as Wayne Thiebaud, Nell Blaine, Lois Dodd and many others.

"The Common Object," a traveling exhibition that has received enthusiastic reviews, was on view at Prince Street Gallery in NYC in October 2010, and moves on to the Maryland Institute College of Art, where it will be on view from December 1 until March 1, 2012. The exhibition, which includes work by guest artists Richard Baker, Catherine Kehoe and others, previously appeared at the Peninsula Fine Art Center in Newport News, VA, and the Lancaster Museum of Art in Lancaster, PA.

News: Zeuxis is currently organizing an exhibition titled "Reflections," which opens February 23, 2012 at the Boyle Family Gallery, Lindenwood, MO and will move on to the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum, Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, MO; Sinclair Galleries, Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA; The Painting Center, New York, NY; and the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, Lancaster, PA. Guests will include Lois Dodd, Nancy Grimes, Nancy Hagin, Al Kresch, Marion Lerner-Levine, George Nick, and Susan Jane Walp.
