Rita Baragona lives in rural western NJ. The luminance of her floral still lifes, landscapes, and oceans derives from not only visual but an entire sensory experience of nature. The artist's intent is to make tangible the patterns of energy dancing in the flux of matter and flow of light. Her influences include Giacometti, Cezanne, Matisse, and Leonardo and her mentor Leland Bell. She currently shows at the Bowery Gallery in New York City.
