Richard La Presti lives in the Catskill Mountains in New York State and primarily paints landscapes, still lifes, self-portraits, and bathers at the beach. He works directly from his subjects, and often completes the painting in his studio. La Presti shows his work at the Bowery Gallery in New York City.
